Kiely Bros were experiencing huge monthly overspend through data usage; with a large estate of 160+ mobiles and significant total ownership costs, they needed a way to cut costs and keep spending low

Better monitoring of usage and access to our customer billing portal has allowed full control over usage alerts and an overview of company spend. They now have increased flexibility via multi-network availability with two carriers, o2 and Vodafone.

Kiely Bros are one of the UK’s leading specialists in carriageway and footway surface treatments. They offer a complete consultancy, design and build package to local authorities and leading Team Maintenance Contractors.

Infrastructure Issues

We’ve had a long running relationship with Kiely Bros and have worked with them for around 10 years. They first came to us with issues with their internal IT systems, and were looking for help as they’d been suffering from poor service levels and failing networks.

We audited the site, understood their goals and put together a refreshed IT solution for their Kiely Skips site, as well as their head office. Once this solution was in use, we continued to provide out IT services and expertise on an ongoing basis, offering help and consistency through services such as regular remote monitoring and desktop assistance.

Cutting costs

Following the IT refresh, we were invited back in on a consultancy basis to look at their mobile estate. We analysed their mobile bills to try and understand what the requirements were across the estate, and who needed what in terms of tariffs.

Our business mobile expert worked hard to construct a bespoke mobile plan to suit their business needs. The plan we put forward provided them with better data roaming, better monitoring of usage, and access to our customer billing portal which allows control over usage alerts and an overview of company spend. Once this mobile plan was implemented, we continued to work closely with the customer to stay on top of monthly bills; we also provided better tariffs for international use. This closely managed mobile estate means they now avoid bill shock, and have been able to halve their mobile bill annually.
