Babble continues its stellar buy and build record with the acquisitions of Yorkshire Telecom and ADSI
Babble, the leading British Cloud Comms, Contact, Cyber & Mobile business that is transforming how ambitious businesses use next generation technology, has today announced the acquisition of Wakefield-based independent technology provider Yorkshire Telecom/Biscuit IT as well as Basildon-based mobile services provider ADSI.
Babble has completed 19 transactions since 2018, with 9 in 2020 and 4 already this year. This record led to ICON Corporate Finance officially recognising Babble as the UK’s most acquisitive technology company in 2020.
Yorkshire Telecom and Biscuit IT serve 390 customers across the North of England in a range of sectors. Their expertise perfectly matches Babble’s Comms and Cyber offerings and their existing customer base of mid-size, growing companies is also perfectly positioned to benefit from Babble’s more extensive offering.
ADSI serves 4,650 customers across the South-East of England and London with 30,000 O2 mobile connections which will add huge scale to Babble’s Mobile division, making them the UK’s second largest O2 dealer. Existing Babble customers will benefit from this new expertise as well as access to ADSI’s market-leading Vision integrated operating platform.
All staff members from both acquisitions will join the Babble team and bring fresh insights and experience, with Phill Burke, Yorkshire Telecom Managing Director, and Adrian Spreadborough, ADSI CEO, remaining in a consultancy capacity to ensure a smooth transition.
Phill Burke, Yorkshire Telecom Managing Director, says “Supporting businesses and their individual communication requirements has always been a priority for us and we can’t wait to take that further with Babble to help our customers achieve their highest potential. We’re very excited to be joining Babble and to be able to offer our customers even more.”
Adrian Spreadborough, ADSI CEO, says, “Together, Babble and ADSI will be a formidable force. I’m incredibly proud of what our team has already achieved but I know that with our combined resources and our joint commitment to providing a personalised service, we can do even better when it comes to empowering our customers.”
Matt Parker, Babble CEO, says, “Acquiring Yorkshire Telecom and ADSI is a real win for us. Their customers are exciting, growing businesses with big ambitions and, aside from our own, are some of the most satisfied I’ve ever seen which is a huge credit to them. Yorkshire Telecom’s and Biscuit IT’s specialism of Comms and Cyber and ADSI’s excellent Mobile platform are areas where we feel we can add exceptional value for the businesses they serve.
Making sure their customers continue to receive the same level of service will be our top priority throughout the onboarding process. We know our success depends upon us continuing to provide our clients with the personalised and local service that they expect, regardless of where they are in the country. That’s what has taken us to where we are now and it’s something we’ll never lose sight of.”
Babble now has a presence across Scotland, the North-West, Yorkshire, North-East, the Midlands, the South and London. Babble’s mission is to provide the personal service of a local provider with all the benefits of a national organisation. Acquiring local businesses which are embedded in their communities means Babble can continue to deliver solutions based on a business’ unique needs, right where they are.
