Proud partner of the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation

Supporting their vision of A World Free of MND

Join the journey as the Babble Rabble take on:

Pedalling for a cure

The My Name’5 Doddie Foundation was set up by the late Scottish international rugby player, Doddie Weir, after he announced he had been diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease (MND) in 2017.

Having seen first-hand how lives are devastated by MND, Babble has proudly supported the foundation for several years and in 2023 became a corporate partner of the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.

This year, we’re committed to fundraising £250k for My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, to support them in funding vital research for effective treatments and achieve their goal of A World Free of MND.

After sponsoring and participating in the Doddie 555 Cup in 2023, a 555-mile cycling challenge from Cardiff’s Principality Stadium to Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, the Babble Rabble are excited to take on even bigger challenges in 2024 – including Babble Ride Across Britain and All Roads Lead to Rome.

Babble Ride Across Britain

More than just a bike ride

Babble is the proud title partner of the Babble Ride Across Britain, an iconic nine-day cycling challenge which takes 800 cyclists from Land’s End to John O’Groats.

As a fundraising venture, Ride Across Britain raises significant funds for charity with the 2022 ride generating over £1.1m for many incredible causes.

In 2024, our team of 80 riders, affectionately known as the Babble RABble, will be taking on the ride to support our fundraising goal of £250k for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation – official Babble Ride Across Britain Gold Charity Partner.

“Our vision is A World Free of MND and partnerships with passionate organisations like Babble are vital to enabling us to invest in the most significant research to achieve this goal.

We’re thrilled to be working with Babble and the Ride Across Britain team. The support and awareness we hope this partnership will raise is significant. Many of our supporters are keen cyclists and we’ll certainly be encouraging them to get involved.”

Following on from the success of the Doddie Cup 555 Ride, rugby legend, Rob Wainwright has now set his biggest cycling challenge yet – All Roads Lead to Rome.

The challenge is ‘simple’: Get to Piazza Navona in Rome by 5pm on Friday 8th March.

But there is one rule – participants can’t get there by air.

There are 20 teams taking part and whilst they are all setting their individual routes and pace to the finish line, they are working towards one core goal of supporting the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
