In a recent announcement that will come as welcome news to many, the planned switch-off of the UK’s Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) has been delayed until 2027. This extension provides businesses and households with additional time to prepare for the transition to digital phone systems.

VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is the primary technology replacing the PSTN. It allows voice communication to be transmitted over the internet instead of traditional copper phone lines.
